Situated on 50 acre grassland farm between Dartmoor and Exmoor.
The lodge is in its own corner of the farm which has wonderful views and walks. It has been newly refurbished and landscaped, but since the landscaping is still growing into its full glory it is now available at £60 per night - minimum stay three nights.
To book: https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/5989324?s=SC_B
The full amount is payable immediately due to the proximity of the booking date.
One double bedroom, one twin bedroom (with extra mattress for fifth person), bathroom, kitchen, living room with dining area.
Bedding, bed linen and bath towels provided. Please note, we generate our own electricity and are not on the national grid so linen will be washed in lovely soft water - not tumble dried or ironed - but full of the fresh air and sunshine of Devon! This is a nature lover's paradise with a huge variety of birds - from our own domestic hens to buzzards and kestrels. If you're looking for the razzmatazz of a holiday resort then this is probably not the spot for you - but if you'd like to get away from it all, reconnect to nature, have your own piece of Devon sky - and relax in the evening with a good book - this is your holiday!
We have lovely rare breed pigs, piglets, Red Ruby Devon cows with calves, ewes with lambs, hens, ducks and rabbits on site.
Sorry but we cannot accept pets.
Great location for those walking or cycling the Tarka Trail or for those who like fishing - just one mile to Stafford Moor Fishery and located between Rivers Taw & Torridge.
Top field looks out towards the village of Winkleigh and on towards Dartmoor in the distance.
"Wow! The most amazing experience. Fantastic hospitality. Obvious pride in providing clean and comfortable accommodation. So peaceful, so tranquil and obviously helped by some magnificent British weather! The kids loved spotting the wildlife and seeing the Pigs! We really don't want to leave, but promise to come back again. Thanks for the great memories and making us feel so welcome! ... Who needs TV!??" Guest Book
